Job Title: Petroleum Engineer – Gas Production
Position Description
We are seeking a Petroleum Engineer to work with the Gas Production Engineering Unit, under the Northern Area Production Engineering & Well Services Department (NAPE&WSD) in any of the department’s work locations (Khursaniyah, Manifa, Tanajib, Shaybah and Ras Tanura).
The Petroleum Engineer will be responsible for an area with a group of wells and offshore production facilities in the Gas Production Engineering Unit to monitor well performance, take remedial action, and address production challenges, such as scale/corrosion, and safety of well intervention.
NAPE&WSD provides production engineering and well services support that includes setting production strategies in line with reservoir management guidelines, monitoring well performance, field development and well integrity to ensure safe well operations
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold an Engineering degree from a recognized and approved program.
Must have a minimum 10 years work experience in the oil and gas industry.
Should have the knowledge of all facts of gas production, reservoir and drilling engineering.
Experience should include gas well completion/recompletion operations, wellbore intervention techniques and optimization of production systems.
Good management background is required with courses pertaining to human resources, i.e., coaching and appraisal, time management, leadership, or equivalent.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Review activities of various phases of petroleum engineering, gas operations and reports on adequacy and efficiency of wells’ performance.
Design and implement well completion and stimulation programs.
Provide on-site technical support for operations including completions, workovers, hydraulic fracturing and matrix stimulation, coiled tubing, well testing, perforating and logging.
Lead/Participate on multidisciplinary teams, provide technical advice and guidance, mentor/train younger engineers.
Perform in-depth technical/engineering studies, write guidelines and policy documents, initiate innovative proposals, and author technical papers for internal and external publication.
Monitor and troubleshoot production operation problems and well integrity concerns.
